To honor the International Day Against Breast Cancer, our Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management Department (SIG) organized an informative session led by Engineer María Cangalaya, a specialist in occupational safety and health management.
During the session, key topics were discussed — such as early detection, self-examination, and preventive care — reminding us that a timely diagnosis can make the difference between life and loss.
Engineer Cangalaya shared valuable insights supported by reputable organizations such as the Liga Contra el Cáncer (League Against Cancer) and the World Health Organization (WHO), which report that over 90% of breast cancer cases detected in early stages have a high chance of recovery. Knowledge saves lives, and at IDT, we believe that awareness is prevention.
